This top is made from a beautiful silk kimono with lovely pattern like chrysanthemums and maple leaves. This silk is very soft, has a subtle luster and drapes beautifully.

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from the 1980s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes, colour fade, old smell etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
