Stunning chirimen with Japanese traditional pattern kimono was made into the lovely top.

Chirimen, which is called crepe in English is one of the traditional Japanese textiles. It has a slightly bumpy surface which gives the silk fabric a special luster, depth, and unique suppleness. The best thing is that it hardly get wrinkled!

The bottom hem has an elastic so easy to blouse.

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from 1950s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes and colour fade etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
