Lovely Japanese vintage kimono silk is made into a A-line gather skirt. Thanks to the structured fabric, it creates a beautiful silhouette
The fabric used for this skirt is called Ro kimono (絽). It is a traditional Japanese summer kimono made from a sheer, breathable silk. I recommend that you wear this skirt with a slip underneath as it is semi- see through. It would be very stylish to wear with a pair of pants underneath as well!

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from the1980s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes and colour fade etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
