The dress is made from lovely flower pattern kimono silk which is called Chirimen. Chrimen is one of the Japanese traditional fabrics and it has tiny bumps on its surface, which prevents the fabric from getting wrinkled.

It is easy to wear and versatile like you see on the photos. You can wear it as relaxed fit style or more dress-up style with its attached belts tied at the back or in the front as well. Enjoy styling the dress as you like.

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from 1950s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes, colour fade, old smell etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
