Vintage kimono silk dress
This dress is made from a beautiful silk kimono with lovely pattern like Japanese Ume (plum) flowers and maple leaves. This type of silk is called Chirimen, crepe in English and is one of the traditional Japanese textiles. It has a bumpy surface which gives the silk fabric a special lustre, depth, and unique suppleness. The best thing is that it hardly gets wrinkled!
This dress is easy to wear and versatile. You can wear it as relaxed fit style with its attached belts tied on both sides or more dress-up style with belts tied at the back and front as well. Enjoy styling the dress as you like.

Dear customers,
Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from 1950s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes and colour fade etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
Thank you for supporting my small handmade business.
