Japanese Vintage Silk Haori, Kimono jacket
Beautiful Sou(all)shibori haori. Shibori is a traditional Japanese tie-dye technique which makes tiny bumps on a fabric surface. You might be able to see only wee thousands of white circles in the photos but you can feel them bumpy when you touch the fabric. Artisans in the past tied every single bumps by hands. Not to mention it's extremely time consuming work and it needs high level of skills.
Haori can be worn both open style and closed with fasten cords or a belt. Please enjoy your style!
It must be great for a display as well.
Hand sewn.
One of a kind.
Fabric : silk
Lining : silk
Vintage condition : good/lining has slight stains on lining shown in the last photo.
Care : dry clean recommended
Dear customers,
Though I try my best to describe the conditions, because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes, color fade or antique smells. However, they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono including their histories to be embraced.
*Vintage condition is described by three levels.
Excellent (no obvious faults), Very good (with some faults but not disturbing) , Good (with some faults that might be disturbing)
