Vintage kimono Silk top

This lovely top is made from a 1960s vintage silk kimono wirh amazing hand drawn flowers on it.

Dropped shoulder and gathered sleeves add both elegance and cuteness to this top.

Because of age of this kimono there are some imperfections with the fabric but it definitely has beauty and special tastes which only vintage kimonos have.
I feel so blessed that I can use such a precious fabric for my garments and I can't thank enough to artisans who created the original fabric.

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from 1950s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes, smells, colour fade etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have. I hope you enjoy and love the beauty of vintage kimono silks including their histories to be embraced.
