This dress is made from a beautiful silk kimono with Indigo dyed pattern. This type of silk is called Chirimen, crepe in English and is one of the traditional Japanese textiles. It has a bumpy surface which gives the silk fabric a special lustre, depth, and unique suppleness. The best thing is that it hardly gets wrinkled!

It's easy to wear and versatile. You can waist mark with a belt or enjoy it as a relaxed fit style without the belt as well. Enjoy styling the dress as you like.

Hena Hena's creations are upcycled with vintage silk kimonos which are imported from Japan and they are carefully unpicked by myself. I mainly use kimonos from 1950s and before. Because of their age of fabrics there could be some flaws like small marks, pinholes, colour fade and old smell etc. but they have incredibly graceful taste that only vintage kimonos have.
